    That's permie jobs, cutting the official headcount. Yeah some contract roles will go but they won't make up the bulk of layoffs

              That's interesting to know. Maybe it's indicative of a big push in hiring across senior management/technical roles, which would be encouraging in a broader market sense.

                    Went for an interview for FTC once. Was asked - "where do you see yourself in 5 years?"

                    Well probably not here as its a 1 year FTC.

                    FTC = we dont want to pay for a contractor but we want all the benefits of hiring and firing someone as soon as the project finishes.

                      Had an email exchange with my accountant to tidy up some stuff in advance of the tax year end. Direct quote as part of our conversation relating to IR35 and the impact on the contracting industry:
