Would anyone care to put a statistic to how often contracts get pulled after signing but before the start date?

I'd say a bit less. Probably 23.9%.And the lord said unto John; "come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.Comment

Hmm banking and finance pushes the average up with their 32.3% but the rest of the industry brings it down. I'd so your figure could be closer thinking about it.Originally posted by b0redom View PostI'd say a bit less. Probably 23.9%.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!

You do understand that this is impossible to quantify. Only HR could tell you that. For me it never happened, big companies usually (my experience) don’t do that. They simply don’t sign until the last minute.Originally posted by adam42 View PostWould anyone care to put a statistic to how often contracts get pulled after signing but before the start date?Comment

Similar thing happened to me last week although was told the role was recruited internally instead. Reading between the lines I think someone's Visa got approved...Originally posted by WDNK View PostMy contract got pulled recently just before the start date. To make this worse it was through the gig's in house recruiters.
Yet another cautionary tale.
The agent was just as peed off as me as he could see his commission going down the pan. I hadn't signed the contract either as I was asking for some amendments.
It wasn't an ideal location anyway so onwards and upwards.Comment
