Yes and they can’t wait - it does not mean they are not going to defend interests of its members - that’s the whole point of EU.Originally posted by original PM View PostOk thanks - so another reason why the EU should be happy to see the back of us then?
Backstop problem is totally of UKs doing anywayComment

No one is asking them not to defend the interests of its members.Originally posted by AtW View PostYes and they can’t wait - it does not mean they are not going to defend interests of its members - that’s the whole point of EU.

Do you think it in the interests of it's members to try and keep the current trade deals as they are to try to avoid as much economic change as possible?Comment

Yes, of course - the EU is not losing any trade deals though.Originally posted by original PM View PostNo one is asking them not to defend the interests of its members.

In terms of U.K. trade with the EU, there are two considerations, one that is confirmed and one that is not:
- the EU will protect the integrity of the Single Market over allowing the exact same trading conditions with the U.K.;
- the U.K. still hasn’t decided what the future trading relationship with the EU will look like.Comment

They clear think that in the scheme of things, it is not. You're continuing to make the mistake that the EU is a separate entity. It is not. The EU is its member states.Originally posted by original PM View PostDo you think it in the interests of it's members to try and keep the current trade deals as they are to try to avoid as much economic change as possible?Down with racism. Best outcomes for the EU are the UK as a vassal state or no Brexit. Worst Outcome is Brexit with no deal. All three of there are still in play. Fun times.Originally posted by original PM View PostNo one is asking them not to defend the interests of its members.

However I do not think asking for you to clarify or back up your statements with fact without resorting to insults is really sealioning.Comment

You asked a set of questions with no intention of looking at the answers with an open mind. You say you wanted a factual discussion, yet you ask others to search for these facts for you. Tell you what fella, you put up some facts to your own questions, waste your own time, and we'll have a discussion on that.Originally posted by original PM View PostWell I was today years old when I learned what that meant.

Your attitude on here is constant and classic sealioning. I'm tempted to throw you a mackerel to see if you've been trained to catch yet

Yes, for transition period which they've offered.Originally posted by original PM View PostDo you think it in the interests of it's members to try and keep the current trade deals as they are to try to avoid as much economic change as possible?
It's UK that started this tulip and it's UK that can't ratify reached deal - the best that was possible under red lines (intentionally) put forward by May.
The whole exercise was about making sure UK drops out without transition dealComment
