If you disagree with the ruling, best to lobby your local MEP. You’ve got 4 weeks to do it, and after that we will be “rule takers” and not rule makers.Comment

Well this clearly will not come to pass in the form it is in.
Who is going to pay 60, 70, 80+ k for a german uber wagon that is going to tell you to slow down every time you try and use a tenth of it's power.
Or interestingly - on an autobahn I guess you could use more of it's power as they are 'unlimited'??
so what this may do is just make all motorways speed limits go up.Comment

Mandatory speed limiters to be fitted to all new cars in Europe within three years | Evo
And so it is Brexit related, since in theory (Following approval from MEPs, the European Transport Safety Council will impose mandatory speed limiters and data loggers on all new cars
yes I know), we can make up our own rules and laws soon!

Yep, we will. I work for a U.K. manufacturing Clientco and we’re planning all our new rules now. Amazing how they’re exactly the same as the old rules though.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostAnd so it is Brexit related, since in theory (

The UK have already agreed to sign up to those regulations. As they will be part of the new agreement on goods, where the UK has agreed to have EU regulations shoved down their throat.
