For comparison purposes, how does that compare to your achievements? Been a Director or CEO of a major company recently?

I was not questioning his achievements at all.
However many CEO's i have come across know jack tulip about the industry they work in - they have the position purely because of who they know and not what they know.

Sadly this is very true of the modern board room. I suspect they would argue that they do not need to know details of the industry they work in because they are only there for their ability to provide strategic direction for the business. It is then upto others to deliver that strategic vision.

Well indeed - main problem I find is that they start trying to re hash things which did not work 5 years ago - because they do not have any knowledge....
10 years go EVs were not seriously considered and Speth was operating in environment set by regulators who targeted CO2, which encouraged diesel engines - he lives in a real world where he needs to sell big ticket items to real people, where as Boris just spouts tulip on ToryGraph for a LOT more than it's worth (which makes me think it's a "hidden" bribe)
