Gammonflake remoaners are conditionally pro-expert, it seems.

Expert clerks and speaker's staff looking overcome with the joys of life.

Shame he had to apparently lie about what the advice from his clerks was to support his case.

Why qualify it? Make more of an effort to find out whether he did or not, rather than attempt to smear on innuendo.

Quite right. Expert advice to elements of the government are obviously to be kept confidential and not disclosed to anyone. Ermm....

But then the guy was always an idiot. He is now a liability. For which we can blame HMG's Opposition for using the speaker's position to attack the government, mainly because they can't manage it by themselves.

It was an amendment from a Tory MP, not an opposition MP, and was only passed because MP's on the government benches voted for it.

If there is doubt on parliamentary procedures then parliament should clarify it in a vote, not unelected clerks.
