Another amendment passed.
The government are basically "out of power". Parliament has basically established an anti-government majority, who can do whatever they want.

It means nothing unless a majority is also willing to back the legislation necessary to revoke A50 and any related legislation relating to leaving the EU on 29 March. It's that, or vote for May's deal.Originally posted by BlasterBates View PostComment

According to a political editor at the Daily Telegraph on LBC Labour are close to pushing for an extension to article 50. That will probably be the battle. If Labour does do that, then there may well be a majority in parliament for it.

That amendment isn’t in the Brexit bill as far as I can tell. I think it’s the finance bill they were voting on.Originally posted by stonehenge View PostOf course, the Grieve amendment doesn't kick in if May pulls the vote next week.

I may have that wrong but as far as I’m aware his amendment was passed before the Brexit bill started. I reckon it’s the finance bill.See You Next TuesdayComment
