I do have to question you as to what you think the EU will do with an army? I think they're just being an expensive show-pony, but I can't be sure, so I'm interested to know what you think.

I have looked at some of your posts and they seem to suggest you have an irrational thought process regarding the EU; almost pathologically beyond reason.

Each country within the EU has different people and therefore points of view differ between countries. This is by design and is not a mistake. No country or collection of countries has unity - this is democracy.

The EU is still the best collective effort in history of cooperation between countries. The UK is small and relatively ineffective internationally. I don't see us developing incredible new technologies that will increase quality of life for the inhabitants the past 30 years without free trade with the EU and similarly I do not see this changing going forward if outside the EU. Sometimes it's important to access your place in the world. But for all of this I am just glad we are not the USA. It's a disgrace of a country now and it is exactly these USA traits of imperialism and "we are amazing!" we have lost whilst being in the EU. No country is relatively amazing, in fact many are a complete mess. Every country has issues and even EU countries say that Germany had too powerful a voice in the past within the EU. There are always issues, which is why politics and life is never ending.

When this is accepted, membership of the EU seems less daunting and less burdensome than is being suggested. It is for the collective good of localised nations.

You really are thick. Who ever said I've done a runner? I live and work in the UK, always have. The fact you haven't managed to be a successful UK contractor doesn't mean it can't be done. There are plenty of us here who do well out of the UK contracting market.
