Wrong. I DID state that I was in India in 1995 implementing a Mobile Network. However, I am pretty sure that the British Army has never put any "mobile networks" into India.

No, it was the multinational company that I worked for that was responsible.

Anyone with half a brain could have worked that out. How about you and sas put your heads together next time and give yourself an outside chance of grasping the facts?

      It stacks up perfectly.
You see he left the army 30 years ago and then joined the air force where he learned to fly Tornados.
He then flew a Tornado to India with one hand, while eating pasta with the other, whereupon he single-handedly installed the mobile phone infrastructure that Indians enjoy.

      Hard Brexit now!

He can't have been in the army long if he left 30 years ago. Sounds like he couldn't hack it. So if he left 30 years ago he didn't participate in 1st Gulf War or Bosnia. May have been in Lebanon (we didn;t win that little skirmish) or Falklands (presume he wasn't there as Royal Marines don't need a potato peeler).

Did 13 years, 1976-89. Long enough to help win the Cold War.
I decided to move on once we had taken care of the Russkie threat.
Coincided nicely with the explosion in worldwide Mobile Networks that has made me so much dosh over the years.

Well it might sound like that to a shiny-arsed desk-jockey like you, but to former veterans I doubt it does.

Well done Sherlock. Not much gets past you does it? I didn't take part in the Korean War either as you seem to be taking notes.

The British Army never took any significant part in Lebanon with a maximum of 115 men being deployed as peacekeepers only. Hardly geared up to "win" any skirmishes. The Army deployed larger numbers than that for inter-regimental football matches.
Nice try but as irrelevant as most of your hypothesising.

Only a tiny percentage of the Armed Forces were deployed to retake the Falklands. Sadly I was not required.
By the way, and to spare you future embarrassment, the Royal Marines are NOT a part of the Army (much as they would probably love to be!! )

by my reckoning that is only 1% of a brain with Whorty contributing 0.999 %.

It's usually the brainless who can't think for themselves and the criminals who they take on in the army.

I HAVE A CRIMINAL CONVICTION, CAN I JOIN?
Everyone makes mistakes and a criminal conviction doesn’t have to stop you from joining the Army. Be honest about your past history when you come in for a chat, and we might be able to offer you that all-important second chance.
