Yawn, yawn. After all this time you still have no positives to Brexit. Come on bud, come up with some arguments to convince us that Brexit is good for the country .... come on you clever soul, you must have at least one argument by now.I am what I drink, and I'm a bitter man

What would be the point? You are so wedded to idea that the unaccountable, unelected, sclerotic and failing nonsense that is the EU is the only viable option you wouldn't take any notice anyway.Originally posted by Whorty View PostYawn, yawn. I don't know why you're all getting your frillies in a twist over this. All you have to do is NOT BUY IT and supermarkets will stop selling it.Originally posted by Whorty View Post....vote out?
A case of chlorine washed turkeys voting for Christmas
But hey, we're taking back control from Europe (and giving the control back to the US!)
US farmers say chlorine-washed chicken should be part of a UK free trade deal - BBC NewsHis heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...Comment

It not simple, because the Americans are not stupid, they also want to get rid of those pesky labelling rules that prohibit them from sticking on labels lying about where they're from. Their stooges will be all over British supermarkets suing the sh*t out of any shop that clearly labels British or European sourced chickens.
If the UK signs a US agreement you will be eating chlorine soaked chickens, they will be rammed down your throat.
In Australia the US pharmaceutical industry has made sure Australians have no choice but to buy overpriced US pharmaceuticals or else

Again, completely missed the point. I wasn't posting this because of the chlorine washed chicken, I was pointing out that the turkeys that are farming communities, voted out of Europe as they don't like the competition from Europe, yet if the UK wants free trade deals around the world we are going to have to accept lower quality, cheaper food products. This will put more pressure onto the the farmers who are complaining about Europe, so they will be worse off.Originally posted by Mordac View PostI don't know why you're all getting your frillies in a twist over this. I only eat organic free range chicken today, so as long as food labels remain I'm sure my diet won't be impacted too much. I'm lucky I can afford to choose better quality food - the poor in our society are not so lucky, but hey, so long as you're Ok mate then all is good .... yes?I am what I drink, and I'm a bitter man

The point is, you would have a chance to try and convince us why Brexit will be good. Over 2 years in and the only stories coming out are negative impacts of Brexit. Your unwillingness to post anything positive, apart from "we're taking back control from the corrupt EU", which is an absolute piece of bollox nothingness, shows that to date there is nothing good about Brexit.Originally posted by malvolio View PostWhat would be the point? Leading up to the ref I was on the wall - I listened to both sides of the argument and made my vote based on the facts I could find within the lies and soundbites. I have an open mind, unlike you Brexit voters, and would happily agree that Brexit is good for the UK if you can prove the benefits over the negatives. To date, I have seen nothing to change my mind.
So, come on, give me a reason to think Brexit will be good for the UK.I am what I drink, and I'm a bitter man
