Or that give corporation tax relief on dividends paid to the director (they shouldn't even be doing accountancy with that little knowledge though!)

Apart from me not being able to multi quote properly You'd probably say we are a small local firm looking at number of staff and clients but I'd like to think we have a lot of experience with IR35 and contractors in particular so not all us small guys are the same and you can always contact me directly on here too.

on the flip side, I have a local accountant...worked together for 10 years and he's great.....organized, effective, good value for money....

speak to him whenever I need to directly....and get correct advice....

Only because if I have a problem with British Gas not doing what they've been paid to do, I talk to British Gas and escalate up the management tree as necessary to get a sensible answer. Who else is going to sort things out?

IMVHO the OP should have been "Who do I talk to to sort out a problem with SJD", not a detailed list of complaints that makes both sides look like muppets and a threat to take his business elsewhere.
            Blog? What blog...?

You may do that. Lots of people will post their complaints on Facebook, Twitter and forums. Quite often with some companies that's the only way things get attention and are resolved.

Agreed - I post on another forum and a guy posted to have a rant about crap service from Currys. He'd been battling for months to get something replaced - anyway, it seems that Currys must Google themselves occasionally and one of their reps popped in and asked him to call a number. Guess what - 24 hours later and the case is resolved.

Send a company an email or ring them, you get nowhere. Slag them off in public and they respond pretty quickly.

I certainly hope they have very good PI insurance, can't actually remember the name but think it was a sole trader type guy rather than a small local firm.

I actually had that myself with a gym - ignored me entirely via email and calls. Mentioned them on twitter and got a response straight away (and also saw a few other public complaints about the same gym, so it wasn't just me!)

Everybody makes the odd mistake, it's human nature, but it's how a company deals with them that's important. SJD have never faltered in that regard as far as I can see.
