Mac browser update

I thought I'd just check to confirm that I couldn't log in via a Mac browser this morning, before I fired off a snotty letter to Abbey. To my complete surprise I was able to login via Firefox 3.0.1.however, not Safari. All that needs to resolved now is the mystery duplicate current account on my home page and the ability to transfer between my reserve and current account...and they will have restored the full functionality of my online banking.

I have been unable to access my account since the "upgrade" was done. The call centre has sent me the new ID but I have not had the other two items that I need to log in. Apparently I'm told it can take 14 days to get them. What's the betting that a) I don't get them b) I get them and they don't work?

I'm seriously thinking about moving my account now. Anybody know of banks not part of Santander that do "free" business banking?

Am I the only one who had no problems at all? Everything has worked... I've received payments, sent money, created a new payment etc all online.

I don't have a reserve account though, which is where most problems seem to be. By reserve account are you guys just referring to a savings account where you dump money to get more interest?

IIRC, Abbey have dropped interst on the reserve account down to 0.01% anyhow.

Nope - lowest is 0.26% on < £10k (gross).

I spoke to them twice today - still trying to get money from my reserve account into my personal account.

First call explained that they had paired the account to an Electron card (which I no longer have, after they replaced it 2 years ago!), and so paired it to the right card. Told me that would be all it needed, retry it and if there were any problems to call back.

Second call, the girl explained that there was still no way to do it, apologised for me being told that, apologised for the long delay, handled it all by phone and transferred the money for me. Sadly, she couldn't tell me when they might have it working, but there you go.

Hahahaha! They really are class.

Click on the ebanking link on the main page displays the page where you start the 'upgrade' process (but if you try and log in here once you've changed over, you'll have issues. Perhaps this is why many still cannot log in?)

Instead on this screen, they now have "Personal Id: If you have recently set up your New Personal ID please click here to log on" which takes you to another screen where it all (should) work.

Anyway, my FSB Co Op Free Banking pack arrived today. I'll get that sorted over the chrissie hols. Off to transfer another 10k out of abbey. Toodle pip!
