I was promised that all my standing orders would re-appear by 9am this morning. Guess what? Not a sign of them.

Wow, this just get better and better. I worked out that you can't use the old login screen to logon. You put your user ID in and it just comes back with the page again - no error. You need to logon via the normally abbey online bank.
I eventually got through on 0845 600 4388 to sort out why I can't transfer money from my reserve to my current account. This guy tell me he knew about this, they'd had an email about it.
"It's because of fraud. You never should have been allowed to transfer from the reserve to the current account because fraudsters transfer your money from the reserve to the current then out. The old system shouldn't have allowed it, it should have had human eye look at it."
I just laughed. I didn't argue the toss, it was pointless. If anyone can, let me know. So, can I transfer the balance of my reserve into the current account ? Sure, as long as it's less than £2K ..... Jesus...
So, how can I close the account down and t/f the balance out? Go into a branch...Regards, J.Comment

Same company so just wait for your turn.Originally posted by Moscow Mule View PostI get both of those things from Cater Allen. They also seem quite clued up on the basic to medium complexity stuff when you phone them. And the web site works, perhaps not intuitively, but it works.

Yes - I just had the same conversation about moving money between the two accounts. They say it won't be possible from now on to do it on-line.
I have written a letter of complaint to them (as per the their complaint guidelines) and then file it in a couple of weeks with the fso - ker ching !! £300
Oh yes..........need to find another bank now !!Comment
