I'm sure we could find some deliciously tax effective way of making that happen for both him and usOriginally posted by RockTheBoat View PostOnce again, thanks DR
can I suggest when this is over that we all chip in and send DR plus his immediate familia on an all expenses paid (by us) holiday to a sunny destination of his choice .... It will certainly be well deserved. And the contribution from each of us will be to quote Viz's Profanisaurus = FAITFYP (flip All In The Five Year Plan) ..

It's a shame the HMRC read this forum too. It would have been great if they used this as their core attackOriginally posted by DonkeyRhubarb View PostFrom the horse's mouth (WG).
Our application was NOT late.
It was submitted within the 3-month window.
Given that this "info" eminated from HMRC yesterday, we should disregard it as FUD.
Thanks for this info DR, it really is comforting to hear.Comment

I'm in... but only if we win. I can't afford it otherwise!Originally posted by RockTheBoat View PostOnce again, thanks DR

Yup, ditto. Failing that, he will never have to buy a drink so long as he lives.Originally posted by nuffsaid View PostI'm in... but only if we win. I can't afford it otherwise!

Surely "When" we win, however worst case scenario is we lose, that being said i've lodged my appeal and want it sorted ASAP, if HMRC are insisting on following a long drawn out, wait and see what happens process, is it reasonable to expect no interest accrues from the date i appealed to the date it is resolved? How can we take this forward?Originally posted by swede View PostYup, ditto. Failing that, he will never have to buy a drink so long as he lives.

JCHR testimonies
Now reached 75.
It's turning into war and peace (although it reads more like war and attrition
)
There are too many contributions for me to reply to everyone individually, so I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for a fantastic response.
If this doesn't do the business then I don't know what will.

In order to prevent the twats from HMRC reading our forum has anyone ever thought of moving this to a private forum with only vetted members (DR must know all our email addresses now) online and trickle feed non-sensitive info onto this forum?Originally posted by nuffsaid View PostIt's a shame the HMRC read this forum too. That way even if the old bore himself reads it won't even matter...Comment
