Just wanted to stress I'm not going soft. When we all chip in to say thanks to DR, I'll be wanting a receipt so I can claim the tax back. That way, Hector can chip in too! Can't leave him out not, he's more of a regular on this forum than we are.
and I will fully expect you to be applying 6% interest per annum to your contribution to DR on the basis that you should have foreseen this need with interest accruing from 2000. Back in 2000 you should have realised in 2009 that you would be required to submit a donation to a guy on a contractor forum board and arranged your affairs accordingly!
Isnt this basically what HMRC are doing to us?? see how daft it is...
On another note does anyone think the cabinet reshuffle and inparticular a new chancellor could halt any of this? Ed Balls is looking like darlings replacement

Reading these makes be both very sad and extremely angry. s58 is going to do untold damage to many people's lives, and the punishment is way out of proportion with any alleged wrongdoing.
I am sure many criminals get off lighter than the sentence that has been meted out to us.
Weather is supposed to turn tomorrow! I hope the wind starts to get get behind out campaign also....

Funny you should say that, I've been stashing up just in case this very thing might happen! I mean, things like this you can anticipate, Section 58, well, that's another matter.
I'll not be able to make the PWC hearing, would have liked to have gone. Do we have people going who can report back ?
I also got a letter from Montp last evening, giving an update on the date for our hearing and confirmation of the hearing today. Said both hearings were based upon the same principles etc.
