I like the way you've been running the campaign, lots of clear unemotional steps, grind the beggars down and maintain the moral high ground to combat the injustice.

Keep it up and well done so far.

You thought about a career in politics? There are a lot of job opportunities there at the moment... good salary, pension, medical and all expenses you can dream up!!!

I can't see DR in politics. He is hard working and honest so is totally unsuitable.

The Committee recognises there is an issue here but, in order to proceed with a review, they need anecdotal evidence of the hardship s58 is going to cause.

I have agreed to compile a report but we need as many individual examples as possible.

If you are going to have difficulty meeting the tax demand, can you PM or email me with a short summary of your circumstances, including:

              1) name* and location (eg. John Smith, Manchester)
              2) nature of your work (eg. self-employed IT freelancer)
              3) approximate liability, separated into tax and interest
              4) why you can't afford to pay (eg. no savings, no equity in home)
              5) what, if anything, you could do to pay eg. sell your home, remortgage
              6) if bankruptcy would be the only option
              7) effects on your family, children, health etc.
              8) effect on your job/career eg. could you continue as a bankrupt?

              Hopefully you get the idea.

              Thanks
              DR

                  JCHR details sent to DR.

                    JCHR testimonials

So far received 25. Please keep them coming. My target is 50 by the end of next week.

Some very heartrending stories. HMRC/Govt should be deeply ashamed of what they have done. Especially when ministers, including the Chancellor, have been "home flipping" etc. to avoid tax.

What is driving me insane right now is the fact that MP's can follow the rules just as we have, but they can just apologise and all is forgotten...why cant we be allowed the same rights..Im happy to say sorry we just followed the rules and wont do it again....Its one rule for them and one rule for everyone else, the double standards is just incredible....

Could you possibly imagine HMRC saying, "its ok, you've apologised now, lets move on", its laughable...
