The adviser mentioned that in reality there was nothing she could do other than to create a new law and then apply it retrospectively. He then **said** to the effect, "And if the goverment goes down that road this becomes an issue of violation of human rights."
It seems the retrospective aspect is held by almost everyone that talks about it other than Labour to be immoral, injust and ultimately a violation of human rights.
This doesnt mean much, but its still good to hear peoples opinion end on an issue of human rights when retrospective laws are mentioned.

Looks like they consider retrospection to be a 'potty' idea !!Comment

Well Done
Just a note to add my thanks to DR and his tireless work here. It is very easy for "small" people to have no voice given to them without making a disproportionate amount of noise, and DR has been excellent in galvanising everyone to believe they are capable of making enough noise! Well done.. and thanks from me.Comment

I don't believe that we should let the Government/HMRC get away with this abuse of power without kicking up a stink. Of course, the Courts are the best place to argue the legalities of it but we should make our voice heard in Parliament.Comment

Contribution - but how?
I am the Swiss based guy, feeling a bit powerless over here, as I have no MP to write to - I just want to let you know that I am a part of this momentum in any way I can be. Big thanks to DRComment
