In contrary to the PM I sent someone earlier (sorry ) paper ones have to be submitted by end of Oct or else you have to do online.

I dont think it best to say publicly what montp are doing - anyone who wants to know can PM me. Am I being too cautious? maybe.....
Can I confirm that whether by paper or online - montpelier will do it all!

Thanks to the person who PMed me!

      An update

Spoke with MP today. The delay in filing an application for JR is down to needing to find a suitable scheme participant that believes their human rights have been infringed. This they have done.

They have instructed their legal team, I was given the names of their Counsel (one tax Counsel and one HR Counsel). MP now act on the advice of their legal team in terms of what they should do and when.

Expectation appears to be that the JR will take place in December.

          Excellent news! Many thanks.

As far as I am concerned - the sooner the better.

Number of issues here. Firstly, the original 4 that were going to trial were selected by HMRC. The individual that goes to the JR can be selected by MP/the scheme member. It makes sense to pick the right individual

You say there are 2000 or so of them. Tell me, would you be prepared to be that person, if you had a choice? I suggest its a case of wanting to be that person. I for one take my hat off to them.

There may have been a lot to chosse from but; finding one willing to stand up in court, have their business dealing and financial affairs placed under scrutiny and likely find themselves reported about in the press was never going to be straightforward.

Leaving aside the issues of right and wrong, I applaud that individuals self belief and wish them luck. I think they are going to need it.

I think the first 4 they picked were only actually going to the tax commissioner stage (first stage in the revenue inquiry process) rather than to court... and the last 3 tax commissoners kept puting it in the too hard basket... hence never actually got to the first stage.....

Then they just got the law changed.....since it wasnt going anywhere.....
