I'm off to a different office in Geneva in April just for 4 days. Is there anything I need to be concerned with or do I just book everything through my Ltd and claim expenses from the client?

£10 a day?Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostPlus there is an increase in the amount you can claim for daily expenses when overseas. Think it's £10 a day, but not sure.
That's not going to pay for much....

Agreed, I once went away obo a client with only verbal confirmation of expenses and it turned out that they wouldn't pay them for me. We did come to an arrangement in the end though that suited both of us.Originally posted by Pondlife View PostJust make sure you get confirmation that the client will stump up for the expenses.

Check life insurance and medical insurance will cover you while abroad on business or you may have a surprise if something nasty happens. I believe insurance companies look upon business travel as not covered by a standard leisure time policy. I had a letter from the client saying they'd cover me when I did a trip to Switzerland for them as a "Technical adviser".Public Service Posting by the BBC - Bloggs Bulls**t Corp.

Switzerland is now covered by the reciprocal health agreements, so whatever the E111 is now called will cover you minimally. But I'd still get insurance. And if you're going to have any serious illness, try to arrange it during the four days your in Genf.
