Check the expenses clause in your contract. I always try to make sure any expenses (authorised by email of course) are added to my invoice rather than reimbursed directly from the client...

Then fill yer wellies!!! Metaphorically speaking of course...Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostYour £10 personal expenses does not require a receipt.

I guess you could use the "entertainment" optionOriginally posted by BrilloPad View Postthey would - but it would not say working girls on. They usually put it is food/drinks.
as long as HMRC don't check the company out you will be fine.

Switzerland is now covered by the reciprocal health agreements, so whatever the E111 is now called will cover you minimally. But I'd still get insurance. And if you're going to have any serious illness, try to arrange it during the four days your in Genf.

Check life insurance and medical insurance will cover you while abroad on business or you may have a surprise if something nasty happens. I believe insurance companies look upon business travel as not covered by a standard leisure time policy. I had a letter from the client saying they'd cover me when I did a trip to Switzerland for them as a "Technical adviser".

Agreed, I once went away obo a client with only verbal confirmation of expenses and it turned out that they wouldn't pay them for me. We did come to an arrangement in the end though that suited both of us.Originally posted by Pondlife View PostJust make sure you get confirmation that the client will stump up for the expenses.

Doesn't sound like anything to worry about just pay it all yourself and then claim it back.
