Was about to post "please keep us all updated because I'll be waiting until day 31 to speak with the ICO", but obviously that's irrelevant now.Originally posted by youngguy View Post
Depressingly the ICO is currently taking ~ 3 months to assign a case officer to each case
In any case, please keep us updated as you'll hear back from them 3 weeks before me

Ha! I have no experience with this, but have had to raise several complaints about banks to the Financial Ombudsman (FO) over the last few years. The above doesn't surprise me one bit, the FO are the same.Originally posted by youngguy View PostDepressingly the ICO is currently taking ~ 3 months to assign a case officer to each caseComment

+1 - which is why I don't want umbrellas regulated as it won't fix the issue regardless of the opinion of others.Originally posted by SueEllen View Post

I raised something to the FCSA. Got a response saying the CEO would be looking at this personally and their timeframe is 8 weeks.Originally posted by eek View Post

I'm not going to pre-judge anything (or I will try not to!) but I'll report back to people here as to the process given there is new Leadership in placeComment

oh my days... i wish i wasnt swamped in 7days working since new year. only now i looked on here i realised how bad things are...
i have been with them for about 10 years, every few years they will assign someone more junior...the latest guy picked up my account is probably only just out of primary school...and i ended up explaining to him how VAT Flat Rate Scheme works to him... anyway...thanks for sharing your experience so far, i really thought they would have sorted it all out and just in recovery phase...Happy days every day...just keep invoicing.

I haven't read the entire thread so sorry if this has been asked before, I'm a former client of SJD and longer ago also Parasol
The question I have is if a class action lawsuit is being organised for the data breach and if so with which law firm(s)?Comment

You've been watching too much US tv shows. No class action lawsuits in the UK.Originally posted by Eirikur View PostI haven't read the entire thread so sorry if this has been asked before, I'm a former client of SJD and longer ago also Parasol

Which of these are you claming for? Or are you just jumping on the abulance chasing wagon for a bit of free money? The GDPR gives you a right to claim compensation from an organisation if you have suffered damage as a result of it breaking data protection law. This includes both “material damage” (e.g. you have lost money) or “non-material damage” (e.g. you have suffered distress).
Have you ever tried to claim against other companies that have lost your data? I'll bet there are quite a few.Last edited by northernladuk; 23 February 2022, 14:04.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!
