Hello, I have a contract with the agency for an outside IR35 gig. There is a clause to the effect that if the client terminates the contract early, my company would be liable for (indemnify) the agency's fee for the remainder of the duration. Is this normal or should I be pushing back?

No, it’s not normal and yes, I would push back.
And I would walk away if they don’t budge."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

So if THEIR client terminates the contractor is responsible for the income the agency should have got from THIER client. That's taking the piss.
I most certainly wouldn't be signing that.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!

Definitely push back. Contracts can be terminated for a whole variety of different reasons, most of them outside of the contractor's control.Originally posted by janesecurity View PostHello, I have a contract with the agency for an outside IR35 gig.
