How old is the company and was it used when you were part of the scheme I saw in your post history - as that will make things way more complex.

in theory you just need to pay all debts and produce a final set of accounts but it may be more than that.

If you need to ask then you need someone to help you IMO. Call a couple of accountants, explain the situation and see how much they want. Could be worth spending a bit just to close it properly for peace of mind.

Hi Both, The company is not trading from 2018dec, the company doesn't have any debts or loans etc,.
The scheme was used from a different umbrella company.
Even though the company is opened around 2012, but started trading from 2016.
I already have an accountant, but they mentioned its upto me, if i want to dissolve or close it. I am looking to dissolve just to see how it goes. Also i think it is easy to submit the accounts after dissolving the company.

        thanks

Your accountant submits the accounts, not you, so don’t choose what is easiest, choose based on what will get the most money out of the company while giving the least amount away.

Are you saying that you set up your company in 2012, but it was dormant until 2016, then it traded for 2-3 years?

How much is left in the company bank account?

to see how it goes? Really? What if it's a total sh1tshow? What then? You need to make the correct decision before you start. This isn't a bit of code you can just re-run till it works. This has real consequences.

Is it? You think it or you know it? See my earlier comment about real consequences.

You need some serious discussions with your accountant. Where he tells what everything about what happens, and what the different options actually mean.

              Hi Both,

This company was dormant for sometime before 2016 and then was trading. There is hardly any amount around £200 in the company.
The main reason to dissolve it as i will be joining a permanent opportunity and they mentioned i can't have an active company. Either I have to close it or set to dormant.

Anyone come across this situation, what did u do.

              Thanks

OK, "dissolve" is not the same as "close" or "dormant".
Have you paid your CT and all other charges for the last financial year?

If everything is up to date, then I'd suggest asking your accountant to close the company. If will cost more money that you have in the company, but you'll need to sort that out.

Yes i have paid everything for the company. I am only thinking in case if i require the company after a yr i can easily open it again but if i close it i have register a new company.

IMO it’s easier to close and open new company..
