I hear your pain.
Re your accountant and vat. It’s regrettbale, but the pace of change, in generality, is such that sometimes these things get missed and not thought through.
On the NI credits for your wife, she clearly isn’t working elsewhere, but do you have children at Home? If so, eligibility for Child Benefit, even if it’s not received due to your income, can protect her NI. This needs to be claimed. -
