Is it ever worth starting a LTD co just to trade shares/crypto?

Lets say you have an existing ltd company for your work, and it pays salary/divs in tax efficient manner

and you want to invest a decent amount of funds in shares/crypto, is it worth doing via a ltd? I think it looks a bit cleaner myself, but logistically I see a lot of conflicting reports

I'm thinking you would be taxed double, corp tax and then tax withdrawing profits, and trading companies dont qualify for ER relief if i'm correct?

Asides from the difficulty in opening a trading account for a company, etc the company would be classed as an investment entity.

No, it's not. You'll likely end up paying more tax than if you invested personally.
