So, I've been maintaining separate Charts of Account for Travel - Client, Travel - Training, and Travel - Other. (the last one is mostly interviews, and I don't go to a lot of them).
The reason I do this is that only the first of these is subject to the 24-month rule, and the only second is "discretionary". As it happens, the 24 month rule has never arisen in my case.
I've asked my accountant, and he reckons this is a bit anal.
Surely I can't be the only one that does this?
