I contacted my accountant who confirmed that Freeagent is an option - just waiting for details on how to switch.

Eight pages.....hmmmm.
If you're not happy with the cost/service just find another accountant. It's not like they're short in supply.Comment

Its an extra service we have added, and will be available from 1 July.Originally posted by cinek View Postsame here
The portal is still our preferred option, but the option to use FreeAgent is available and offered for new clients signing up, but also available for existing clients that are struggling or would prefer to use FreeAgent or Xero in that matter.Comment

I hadn't picked up on that at all... or even noticed Aardvark really. It's very generous of you to say so as a potential competitor, thanks.Originally posted by Maslins View PostIsn't Louisa from Aardvark (who posts regularly now) the same Louisa who used to be at In Touch? Possibly some anti compete clause may prevent her highlighting this to you now...but if you had a great working relationship with her before that might make Aardvark a contender if you're considering a move.
Clare's at Clarity Taxation, don't think they specialise in contractors...though whether that means they couldn't/wouldn't help or not I don't know.
If that is you Louisa you're welcome to PM me
That's very interesting, thanks. I quite like your portal but if FA is becoming a bit of a de facto standard it's nice to know. Can both be run in parallel?Originally posted by Neil@Intouch View PostIts an extra service we have added, and will be available from 1 July.

Ah, I misunderstood.Originally posted by mudskipper View PostI contacted my accountant who confirmed that Freeagent is an option - just waiting for details on how to switch.
Freeagent is an option, but it's not included in the monthly fee. But InTouch can provide discounted access (£15+VAT a month).Comment

Is that not a tacit admission that the portal isn't up to scratch?Originally posted by Neil@Intouch View PostFreeAgent is now a solution that we are offering at InTouch...Comment

Not at all Alan. Our portal actually has more benefits than FreeAgent and is streamlined with all our 3rd party software. The reason being is that the market (contractors) in general seem to be recommended FreeAgent more and more, hence the reason for us adding this extra solution as an alternative to clients.Originally posted by Alan @ BroomeAffinity View PostIs that not a tacit admission that the portal isn't up to scratch?Comment

Fair enough. I obviously haven't seen the portal so don't really have any place to comment. I'll respectfully withdraw. [emoji3]Originally posted by Neil@Intouch View PostNot at all Alan.
