Actually, thinking about it, none of these providers have ever done a single thing to proactively save me money. They are just a service I pay £x a month for and input all the data myself with some backend system churning out the figures. It's one big machine. There's no personal touch nor nothing. The 'Duncan Strike' school of accounting. I was with Quay Accounting years ago until they sold out then dissatisfied with the service moved over to InTouch, another Duncan Strike company. Same story, incrementing monthly rates and same shoddy service. All the good people leave and you're left with rookies until he sells it on again. He may get rich but it's an embarrassment to his profession.

Some going eh?
Strike gold! 79 appointments! Ha ha ha.
This is so laughable, I'm crying with tears. Even Jordan hasn't been so prolific in 'her' chosen 'career'

Who'd want a guy like this to be their accountant? Looking out for the customer or looking out for himself?
You can imagine the phone ringing can't you? "err, hello, which company did you want (frantically trying to recall from long-term memory the six-dozen companies he's a part of)". Or maybe he has one phone per company? More phones than Carphone warehouse. Comical.
Your issues may be valid but I don't think you can cite 79 appointments as the reason for your perceived poor service.Comment

Very dissatisfied Intouch client
I have not been happy with the service received from IT for some time now and this price increase just doesn't make sense(value for money) TO ME. When you have had about 3 different accountants within the space of 2 years for one reason or another and not one of them has been able to get it right- time to move too methinks.
I like what gorilla have stated that they offer + FA (quarterly account review) which will let you know if there is something that could cause an issue down the line. IT don't currently do that (if they do, they didn't do it for me) as at year end time, it was a real nightmare for them to sort out my accounts. Weighing other options out there now as I can't justify paying that amount of money plus vat for the service they provide ME.Comment

Although there is two months free with Gorilla. 1st Online charge a £300 "takeover fee", which is quite steep. It looks like Gorilla do not charge anything like this. Hopefully InTouch do not charge exit fees, I will need to check.Comment

I purposefully left 1 month after SATR was due but that made no differenceComment
