The contributions will be recorded in your company accounts and you will not pay corporation tax on that money since it is an expense of running the business. There are other things to consider as well, but that will do for now. So, talk to Aviva and tell them what you plan to do. Take it from there.
Ah thanks, hadn't thought I'd need to do anything with the pension provider itself, but will do, and good to know nothing is needed on the HMRC side bar recording as an expense.

      Quick question.

I've been researching funds but whenever I compare last year's fund with others, my existing fund always comes out tops.

Would you experienced guys go for the good performing fund, or look at spreading the risk with another fund?

I've been paralyzed by indecision regarding this

(Don't worry, I'll review your replies and probably end up tossing a coin...)

I pay 0.002% with HL, but that's because its an all share portfolio not funds

If you are happy with the returns then stick with them, I'm in a slightly different situation as your fund will be made up of many sectors, but I like to spread my money round to limit the amount of damage one share can do

            Hi, newb question.

If I were looking to start a SIPP with the intention of contributing between 20-30k a year to it from my Ltd co, would I be better off going with ii from the start or would HL be best for the first few years?
            From a cost perspective?

            cheers.

Based on this thread it seems anything over a certain amount would be better off using ii

As I said. Totally new to this so this thread has been my first introduction and has given some great links and pointers this far.

Careful with II - recently they've been getting pretty horrendous reviews after the merger and IT 'upgrade'.

Just to counter that, one very happy II customer right here.

Glad to hear it, though a single experience is obviously of limited value.

Take a look for yourself and note the attempted gaming of the review system by the recent reviewers with only one review and mentioning the customer service rep by name in every one.

If you look back over the reviews from earlier this year it's clear there have been serious problems.
