Which tax year was it?
There are several Montpelier letter templates. Which one did they get you to send?Last edited by DonkeyRhubarb; 27 May 2015, 07:00.Comment

I wrote again a while back and asked them to cancel the inquiry as they appear not to have any of my paperwork, of course they declined.
Do we actually have to have a CN in order to be able to participate?Comment

In preparation for needing to pay the APN, I've applied for a re-mortgage but that will not finish until after June 8th. (apparently it takes them 4-6 weeks!)

Obviously there are a plans afoot such that the APN's may be cancelled/delayed/etc, but should those avenues not work out, I don't want to face further penalties by not having the money ready to pay...
Cheers
See page 44 of the PDF.
As I read it, if you have made representations then you have 30 days to pay from the date HMRC reject them. So as long as you have made representations as to why the APN does not apply within the 90 days you don't have to pay HMRC by the end of 90 days if they haven't responded.Comment

HMRC have rejected the 06/07 & 07/08 ones, which refer to judicial review, and held people to the original due date of the APNs.Last edited by DonkeyRhubarb; 27 May 2015, 07:54.Comment

I disputed my 05/06 APN (due 6th July) using the MTM template by recorded delivery on 26th April.
I'd heard nothing so phoned HRMC yesterday. They confirmed receipt of letter but are still reviewing the reasons for withdrawal, however collection is suspended until they finish their review.
Shame they don't let you know that in writing.....Comment

When to pay.... Yuck.
I'm the same for 2004/5 and 2005/6. I've not heard anything and due to pay on 30th June. My letters have not been responded to. Assume I have extra 30 days for these years? Or should I phone APN team to make sure?

But I guess it wouldn't hurt to phone them and check they have received your letters.Comment
