Copies of CN's, sonnet copies is that wrong?

    Hi DR,

Last night when signing up it said to send copies of the documents. Just checked my post of the instructions I done last night and that his what it said. So I posted this morning photocopies of my CNs to CCW. Do I need now to send the originals? If so, should I print off those three pages again and sign them and enclose them as well?

Just noticed my 2006 CN looks strangely different from the 2007 and 2008 ones, and yet came in the same envelope as the 2007 one.

    Thanks

      Hi TheFlyer

The only documents that need to be originals are the 3 that you sign in ink.
      Closure notices can be photocopies.

        Inconsistent CNs and online totals

I don't recall seeing another post on this, so I thought I'd share.

I was sorting through my CNs to send to CCW. I've never really taken that much notice of the numbers on them and when I checked them, they looked rather strange. I then cross checked them with the online portal and the numbers are quite different.

I was in the scheme for four tax years and the CN & online values only match for one year out of four. In fact, the CNs total up to £10k more than the online numbers. I can see my CNs for two tax years don't take into account the payment already made for tax at the time and one tax year has the payment already deducted, but the value is from a different tax year. They're a mess.

So...my advice would be to check online as well as your CNs to check if they match. Otherwise, the appeal may not be for the correct amount. Of course, which one is correct?? I have no idea

              Hi,
New to forum but member of NTRT and signed up for TAA already

Just wondering if there is a deadline for CCW to receive the signed forms and CN's? I'm working abroad and post may take up to 2 weeks to arrive.

              Many thanks.

                There is no hard deadline.

CCW will be submitting applications to the FTT in batches.

Payment set up this morning, takes 3 days, so hopefully that won't be a problem. Paperwork in the post tomorrow.
                    Thank you all.

                      First time poster...

                      Hello,

My APN is due June 8 and I've heard nothing back from HMRC in responses to the letters I sent them (based on MTM advice).

In preparation for needing to pay the APN, I've applied for a re-mortgage but that will not finish until after June 8th. (apparently it takes them 4-6 weeks!)

What I understand from the APN letter is that it's due on June 8 but that you have 30 days after June 8 to pay it. Is this in line with anyone else's understanding? Or is being late more serious?

Obviously there are a plans afoot such that the APN's may be cancelled/delayed/etc, but should those avenues not work out, I don't want to face further penalties by not having the money ready to pay...

                      Cheers
