without a ctd and expecting an apn

Had the warning letter a few weeks back but still no APN.
But think the advice is .. if you have an APN and can pay it .. then DO (except if you see in your crystal ball that they will revoke it later).
So once the APN arrives .. guess I have to get the money from the mortgage and get it paid once MTM have it noted on their systems ?Comment

Stupid question. Last newsletter was 2nd April? In it there was a suggestion of something else within 2 weeks (lets not go into further details). I have seen nothing since. Hopefully its not just me?
No issue however long it takes! I just don't want to be the only one missing out....Comment

Yes MP have said they will ask for a suspension and they may get it BUT
If you don't pay the APN you may /will be eligible to penalties and have to pay them. Feedback is even if we win you may not have the penalties refunded and if it is suspended the penalities may still accrue.
NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE ...... as this is all new territory
so bottom line ...... if mp get a suspension and if becasue of it you dont pay
they cannot 100% guarentee you will not get lumped for 15% penalty regardless .....
as with it all - it could take legal action to quantify and that cant happen till the irsk has already been taken as you must have a penalty to contest in the first place .....
hence the genreal feeling that if you CAN pay the APN ..... propably best toComment

Update
Please do not contact me for more information. Please wait for the next newsletter.
NTRT and our advisors CCW met with HMRC yesterday. This was to get HMRC's response to the technical analysis CCW sent them on 12th Feb.
HMRC only raised one objection to TAA, which was dealt with in the Anne Redston QC opinion. However it's a very serious matter that warrants us going back to Anne and asking her to consider the point again.
We hope to have her view on this in the next 10 days when we will update members.
My own personal perspective
It seems to me that HMRC have fallen back on their usual tactic of intimidation and bullying when they can't get their own way. They want to scare us into dropping TAA because that's all they have.
The stakes are very high, especially for the HMRC officers in charge. If they can't win, they will fight dirty.Last edited by DonkeyRhubarb; 22 April 2015, 15:59.Comment

I think your contract was always in effect from 1989.
As this is just a clarification it should have no effect on HMRC's PAYE outgoings.Comment
