Can you say what number they called from? - so I can add it to my blocked callers list.

I was thinking of reporting them to the Trading Standards Authority for calling us "customers".

The George argument will be revealed in the next newsletter - first week of April.
DR, is the newsletter going say if we should contact HMRC to suspend the APN pending the FTTT? I know MTM are looking at this, but if the George argument is coming from NTRT just wondering if we should also be requesting a separate case to suspend?

I too would like to see something from MP on what we can do with APNs - however we shouldn't kid ourselves that HMRC are going to let us suspend payment any longer and specifically not pending the outcome of the FTT. That is precisely what APNs were brought in to prevent!

The FTT can't do anything about APNs because there is no right of appeal.

Judicial Review is the only way to challenge them and Montpelier have said they will do that.

I'm guessing this is the call mentioned on the forum before where they ask if you received the APN they sent.

yes I know, just curious how the call goes. What do they actually say, do they literally just ask if you got it, or do they do some digging on your intent for example, i.e. you gonna pay it when it arrives or not.

From what I've heard: They ask if you received the APN. If you say no they arrange to send a replacement (and don't ask anything about payment).

Not sure what happens if you say you received it.
