    Reasonable camera?

    Hi Chaps,

I'm after a little, reasonably priced camera for next Friday (I've just got out my old Finepix A202 which now looks positively brick-like.. ).

My SW k890i phone is absolutely rubbish for taking night shots (no flash) - actually it's absolutely rubbish as a phone too.. .

I'm thinking about the Casio that was on the Gadget Show last Monday but don't really need 10mb quality...

I was thinking around the £100 mark.

(And for those 'google it' miserable gits: I'm too *lazy*/ busy at the moment and this could give someone a good 1/2 hour of non work-related entertainment... )

*EDIT: and I'm crap at this t'interweb lark....

Just bought the Sony W300 which has an awesome 13mp.

Amazon has the best price for this.

Er indoors has a Casio exilim 10mp she's had for a while. It's compact and portable, and there are a lot of settings you can muck around with. It's easy to use but the picture quality's not outstanding IMHO.

Check out what's popular on DPReview at the moment. (That's not a dodgy site - honest!).
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

I've heard Sonys are not good in low light conditions.

Don't know if this is true for all their cameras.

DP Review said that it was better the Fuji tested, which surprised them as Fuji is usually excellent...

I bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX33 in the spring for £130 which is a great camera.

It was quickly superseded by the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35 but I wasn't fussed as the big price difference at the time didn't warrant the few additional features.

Cojak - trust me the Sony W300 is the one to get. It's £182 so yes a bit more expensive but at 13Mp it's future proofed for longer and has a heap of great features, while still being very easy to use.

Apart from that, it looks great and the titanium body shivers me timbers!
