Both times for me it was easy. First because no one knew how the internet worked and I did....

Second time because they needed someone who knew both .net and java... And I did...

As many continually say its actually not the first contract you need to worry about but the second one. And never take a contract for money take it based on where it will leave you at the end of that contract. No point taking a contract using old skills if it means you won't have any skills to get any contract this time next year...
