Just taking a moment to play devil's advocate here. Just because a company disappears from the list is not evidence that they are doing anything dodgy. There is a financial burden on the umbrella that comes from being a member (don't forget Saferec exists to make its owners money despite their lofty ideals) and in these days of squeezed umbrella margins, some may decide that the return does not justify the cost.

Just noticed it's now down to 64, despite one being added last week. That's 5 off in 2 weeks, which does seem very strange - maybe there is something wrong there?

Fortunately, it wasn't my friends new company removed

          Down to 62 this morning!

Has to be something in this data breach rumour, or something else big has happened

Given how invested every agency seems to be in Saferec, surely if there are big problems there, this should be bigger news?

Best thing you could do is make a list of the 67 that there were, and then see which ones have been dropped. That will save you having to post here every few days or talk about "hearing through the grapevine", etc. YOU get the list today, and then the next time one drops off, you can tell us all who it is.

That would also then maybe make it easy to find out why they are no longer listed, rather than speculating.

I assume by odd you mean refused to force workers to use a tax avoidance scheme so the agency could make a few more quid

You realise it was 51 in February this year?

I'm surprised it hasn't risen by more, given the JSL rules came into play in April

Ultimately that's irrelevant though - it's the talk of data breach and loss of so many companies on the back of it that seems very odd
