Compliant Umbrellas don't have the money to make completely unsolicited phone calls

It seems that a number of tax avoidance schemes have adopted a new approach:-

    1) They have created "clone" companies that look very similar to FCSA and PP umbrellas
    2) they have purchased virtual numbers that are geographically similar to those umbrellas
    3) they are making phone calls to contractors offering them a tax "saving" scheme / scam and highlighting their PP / FCSA membership will be enough for the agency to be happy.

So if an umbrella calls you and you haven't just got a new contract which the umbrella firm references - put the phone down...

Absolutely reiterated, we would never make unsolicited calls.

A new enquiry for Clarity phoned us at the end of last week to check if we were legitimate. They had just had a call from a person claiming to be one of my employees, mentioning my name, giving an Ipswich telephone number and offering a significantly higher take home than what we would ever offer (sorry it's rubbish I know).

So a simple rule of thumb... if you are a 40% tax payer, then take home via a compliant brolly is likely to be between 52 and 58% of the day rate.

Begs the question, where are they getting the numbers from ???
