Never got on with Gimp, personally, but probably didn't give it enough of a chance as lots of people recommend it.
Nobody who likes a well-designed UI recommends Gimp - it sucks big time. I only use it because it's free and it's got some very powerful capabilities if you can only work out where the damn thing has hidden them. I've sussed out how to do the fairly limited number of things I need, but I spend much of my time with it muttering "Oh FFS" under my breath
I still use acronis, but only for imaging partitions.

Hmm... with Steve's keynote over, the Apple site is shouting "Download iTunes 10" but the download link is to 9.2.1
First thing in my inbox this morning was a Security Update (see Apple's Security-announce mailing list) mentioning iTunes, so I ran Software Update and iTunes 10 was ready and waiting to come down.
I came across KR while investigating corrupted acronis .tib files.
Lot's of responses mentioning KR, none mentioning ST.
