So... Mum has Alzheimer's and often misplaces things around the house. She'll then phone my brother or I to ask where today's missing item is. Obviously we haven't got a clue.
I'd like to put a tracker (something like tile or air tag or such) onto a few of the more commonly lost things so I can make it make a noise for her to then follow. This worked well when the landline handset went missing as the base unit has a button to press to help locate it.
However all the tracker devices I've looked at seem to rely on Bluetooth connected a mobile phone that's running an app.
Is there anything on the market that could work without me needing to hide a smartphone in the house? I did consider a Bluetooth dongle and an android emulator on her PC but the risk of her turning the computer off is too high.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
