That should do the job. There are cheaper ones if you don't need as many as 6. You could use cable ties to attach them to items. You could even stick labels under the buttons, so she doesn't have to remember what colour corresponds to which item.

So... Mum has Alzheimer's and often misplaces things around the house. She'll then phone my brother or I to ask where today's missing item is. Obviously we haven't got a clue.
I'd like to put a tracker (something like tile or air tag or such) onto a few of the more commonly lost things so I can make it make a noise for her to then follow. This worked well when the landline handset went missing as the base unit has a button to press to help locate it.
