If you buy an unlocked 5G router, one thing you could do is get a few (free) PAYG sim cards and see which gives the best 5g signal.
I can personally recommend giffgaff but, for the same money, you get more data with smarty (3 network).Comment

If I was in your shoes, I'd just buy a 5G router and start off with a giffgaff SIM. From what's been posted above, you should be able to pick up a pucker 5G router for under £100. Just tread carefully if buying off eBay. There are adverts claiming routers are 5G when they probably aren't.Comment
