I held off upgrading for a while on my old MBP, but had no problems when I did. I put it onto the iMac and it's been fine. I know there were reviews back in September/October that said don't update yet but I haven't seen any recently, and if your processor is at risk from Meltdown/Spectre, then you really should upgrade.

The only issue Ive had with HS is that the Canon printer drivers no longer work.
Apart from that the mac mini and mbp have been running fine on it

Ah, that’s interesting woohoo - could tell us where you bought? (There are so many dodgy electrical sellers out there I’d rather have a recommendation.)

I bought it from Amazon, these are the people, not sure if it was this exact battery. My MBP is not my main laptop, so these are the guys and the laptop still works and is not on fire, so that's the extent of my recommendation

Officially my Canon printer drivers don't work either - Pixma iP4500.
Thankfully no one told the printer, so when I got the iMac, I just installed the most recent driver for the printer I could find. It works.

That was September 17.

I was very pleased when I upgraded to HS a couple of weeks ago, and I still am.

I was hoping that it might fix the sleep problem, but it hasn’t completely.
