    HTC10 - new battery

Now I really like the phone. Customer service is appalling mind (long story but they tried to deny a claim under warranty when their charged caused a bit of an overheat/melt one day - reason charger socket is physically damaged - no tulip since the charger had melted itself into the socket!).

Anyway, not sure I like these internal batteries. Much better when you could swap in an battery. Apparently, its because of the new trend of having waterproof phones....

Replacement batteries are £9. Fitting is the problem. My eyes are too knackered from years of whatever to do myself. So any recommendations?

No, it's to increase phone sales. Having said that, you should get a new phone. As a battery nears end of life, it can (and does) damage other components, making the replacement a waste of time, money and effort.

I'd get another HTC again if the customer service wasnt such crap. Samsung/Apple overpriced.

        Oneplus maybe next option.

Both my wife and I are just over half way through 2 year contracts with ours - and we've both just started having battery issues. Bag of tulip on this phone, me thinks. Seems to very common.

Take it to one of those corner shop repairers. Friend of mine had an iPhone 6 battery replaced for £25. Four weeks on, so far so good.
