    wine & beer making kits

I may have asked about this a couple of years ago, but does anyone here make their own wine or beer?

Can you recommend any web sites that detail the basic kit and procedures for making wine from first principles, i.e. from fruit or flowers, buying only the basic ingredients such as pectin and yeast.

(i.e. as opposed to the "prepacked" wine making kits to which one just adds water or something to make a set amount)

This looks like a good site for elderberry wine

Try Free Winemaking Recipes from thebrewshop.com

They sell all the bits you need too.

            Ah, right.

Here are a couple of really good sites, I'll find more later.

I've got the Kindle version of this book:

Booze for Free: Amazon.co.uk: Andy Hamilton: 9781905811700: Books

But the homebrew bible you can probably get from charity & second hand shops is First Steps in Winemaking: Amazon.co.uk: C. J. J. Berry: 9781854861399: Books

A good, old-fashioned book whose advice still applies and recipes that will give you stronger wines than is the vogue these days. Mine's falling to bits.
