Crucial has a neat tool to find memory that will work in your PC but if you know what you want, where is the best place to go? Is there an online specialist who lets you set the exact spec you need and shows you all compatible chips, or is Amazon the best bet like with most things?

I'd still use Crucial. Their prices are good, and I was very impressed when I placed an order at about 4:30pm and received the delivery the following morning - even Amazon can't manage that. -
Ebay is good for older ECC ram for servers if u need that, recently got 128gb for about 60 quid...Comment

Amazon... Who else?I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).Comment

I use a memory checker to determine the correct RAM and Amazon get the order, based on price, delivery and the free return option if it's incorrect. Next day service is amazing.I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor.
