Lol, given the orderId, I imagine you're still at the stage where every online order results in Mrs eek doing a dance round the living room singing "We've got an order!"

In my mind, that sounds like the best stage, the early excitement before it turns into a 'job'.

It depends - in a previous life I skinned a shopping site for the launch of i-mode in the UK. We took two orders. One turned out to be from someone at O2 testing it all worked correctly.

I think you should order some choccies and picture Mrs eek dancing!

Well excluding test orders we are above that.

To be honest the website is there just to facilitate orders at the moment. I've not promoted it at all bar the footer on the bottom and I need to utterly redo it over Christmas.

As we really are only trying things out at the moment to see what works and what doesn't its going far better than I expected. While the selection boxes are doing well, the surprise is how often people look at the chocolates and then buy chocolate stirrers (half the price of Lakeland and Hotel Chocolat) or bars of chocolate instead (although thats based on the local church / craft fairs we've done over winter rather than the farmers markets we are still trying to get in to).

I have a vision of eek and Mrs eek up at 4.30am in a mild state of hysteria (as in the Big Bang Theory with Penny and her hair charms...).

                  Oh, and btw...

Makes it appear to be more likely to be a busy business, if all orders are 10000, 20000, 30000 you get the same problem as 1,2,3!

AUTO_INCREMENT= sets the starting value of the column. It still increments by 1 each time.
