Noted and added to the pile of samples I'm bringing downmerely at clientco for the entertainment -
Lol, given the orderId, I imagine you're still at the stage where every online order results in Mrs eek doing a dance round the living room singing "We've got an order!"Originally posted by eek View PostNoted and added to the pile of samples I'm bringing down

In my mind, that sounds like the best stage, the early excitement before it turns into a 'job'.Originally posted by mudskipper View PostLol, given the orderId, I imagine you're still at the stage where every online order results in Mrs eek doing a dance round the living room singing "We've got an order!"

It depends - in a previous life I skinned a shopping site for the launch of i-mode in the UK. We took two orders. One turned out to be from someone at O2 testing it all worked correctly.Originally posted by Bunk View PostIn my mind, that sounds like the best stage, the early excitement before it turns into a 'job'.Comment

Well excluding test orders we are above that.
To be honest the website is there just to facilitate orders at the moment. I've not promoted it at all bar the footer on the bottom and I need to utterly redo it over Christmas.
As we really are only trying things out at the moment to see what works and what doesn't its going far better than I expected. While the selection boxes are doing well, the surprise is how often people look at the chocolates and then buy chocolate stirrers (half the price of Lakeland and Hotel Chocolat) or bars of chocolate instead (although thats based on the local church / craft fairs we've done over winter rather than the farmers markets we are still trying to get in to).merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

I have a vision of eek and Mrs eek up at 4.30am in a mild state of hysteria (as in the Big Bang Theory with Penny and her hair charms...).Originally posted by NickFitz View PostCode:ALTER TABLE orders AUTO_INCREMENT=10000;

Makes it appear to be more likely to be a busy business, if all orders are 10000, 20000, 30000 you get the same problem as 1,2,3!Originally posted by NickFitz View PostCode:ALTER TABLE orders AUTO_INCREMENT=3523;

AUTO_INCREMENT= sets the starting value of the column. It still increments by 1 each time.Originally posted by SimonMac View PostMakes it appear to be more likely to be a busy business, if all orders are 10000, 20000, 30000 you get the same problem as 1,2,3!
