I'll just point out this bit.

According to Adrian Marlowe of Lawspeed, which specialises in providing legal and business services to the recruitment and contracting sectors, “We have seen firms like these make dubious claims on their websites as to who has accredited them. Legal and tax firms in the contracting sector need to be careful how their firms names and reputations are being used without their permission, and contractors would be wise to challenge any such claims and ask for proof.”

They're falling like confetti out of the sky at the moment.

This is going to be disastrous for many further down the line...

    Hi,
Had another strange one offering up to 71% take home. Was described as this

'It effectively mimics the effect of operating a limited company by using an advance on a future earning, which is secured against a projection of the following week/month. etc...'

...which may be what the other I mentioned earlier was doing.

You'd be equally as happy, if not more so, banning him so OP needs watch out.

Clarity Umbrella is on my list to investigate. The agency is pushing me to go PayStream or Orange Genie, from their preferred list.

Look at a reputable companies site like Clarity Umbrella and see how a proper company operates and then go back to these guys. You are even entertaining them why???

May I refer you to the https://www.contractoruk.com/forums/...eme-enquiries/ which you will be frequenting in about 12-18 months time were you to join such an umbrella.

Was this an umbrella the agency you discussed yesterday recommended?
