    Tell him to avoid them. Use a Ltd. or a reputable umbrella - ask LisaContractorUmbrella for info.

    I don't believe anyone is recommending them, he's found them online...... and no I think 90% implies something dodgy....

    The 'personal illustration' they prepared for him quotes 84% but to me that also sounds a bit too good to be totally legal and above board...

    Have a look at the scheme enquiries board. Decide if that is the sort of thing hing you want to be involved with. Somewhere down the line you will.

    contractor umbrella get a good rep. But there are others. Anyhing that pays in any way other than paye and expenses will bite you eventually.
