It often does but they explicitly state the company can't buy or reimburse you. Of course the issue is not that they will know and block the sale, but that you're breaking the license... it's down to your conscience. Technically, it's no different than getting the free open-source license and then using it for your regular work.

Personally speaking if I mistakenly bought it through the company account without knowing the rule, I wouldn't worry enough to fix it, but having read the terms first I wouldn't be comfortable and would just buy it on my own CC.

I assume they are maybe keen to get individuals hooked so they will then lobby employers to get licenses?

After confirming orders, JetBrains will be handling license delivery that could take up to 48 hours but we'll be working as fast as we can.

    JetBrains ‏@jetbrains
Update from payment processor: all pending orders are expected to be confirmed/processed by EOD today (CET) ~ in approx. 6-7 hours.
Bet there will be a few folks getting bagged for that. FAIL!

Unclear to me if I can personally buy a copy of resharper and then install it on my machine at client site for my personal use though.

    I think that is fine.

Just like a permie buying it and using it at work. It is fine for commercial use.

The terms and conditions that arrived in the second email confirm a 7 day cooling off period and with no record of my initial paypal order I've gone and made a second order which has given me something that looks like a complete order.
