New card reinstalled and going great guns.
Bulletstorm FTW.
Took a month since sending the card off. If anyone from Scan.co.uk spots this then take note, RMAs where the component is not immediately available, and needs to be referred to your supplier, need to be remediated a lot quicker.

Or, in the case of General, antisocial mediaOriginally posted by eek View PostLikewise probably 15 years and never a problem. However if social media (and this is social media) reports a problem it could change people's perceptions the next time they think about making a big order.

Card has arrived with the wife, at her office.
That's me occupied for a while tonight.
Perhaps some network games with my brother who is up for a few days.

680s are as rare as hen's teeth. It certainly sounds like a nice card if you can source one.Originally posted by yasockie View PostGet the GTX680 and sell your old one on ebay when it comes back, that's what I'm doing anyway
I have spoken to them this morning and they still had no answer from the supplier, so I told them I would take a credit and pay the difference for 580 GTX, will be arriving tomorrow.
Very disappointed with the time it has taken Scan to get the RMA sorted, and then only because I pestered them. They received my dead card on the 6th March! So that's nearly 4 weeks.Last edited by Scrag Meister; 2 April 2012, 12:14.

Get the GTX680 and sell your old one on ebay when it comes back, that's what I'm doing anywayOriginally posted by Scrag Meister View PostSo I sent the card back to the supplier.
It turns out that they no longer supply the card, and it is no longer available.
They have returned it to their supplier for repair or replacement.
Would you accept a repair? I'm not keen.
Interested to see what is offered as a replacement, if that is the route they take.
Also if at the end of this rigmarole they can't replace or repair and give me a credit , I only get a proportional credit considering the time I have used it.
So now the RMA process has been extended from the 7-10 days out to potentially a further 28 days.

Ventilation is fine, Coolermaster HAF 932 case with 3 x 120mm fans plus liquid cooling on CPU.Originally posted by MrRobin View PostThat's the second thread on busted GFX cards this week (EO was the other one I think)
Does your case have adequate air circulation? Do you vacuum for dust? Any OC?
Never OC'd anything.

MB was fine, It was the Nvidia graphics that went up in smoke.Originally posted by pmeswani View PostMy NVIDIA graphics card packed up not so long ago. Replaced it with an ASUS 6770 HD (ATI) and it seems happy enough. All I now need is a decent 3D monitor to go with it.
Hope you get your MB sorted out.
Scan have already given me an RMA number this morning, need to get it packed up tonight.

Swapped in my old 470 GTX and it worked fine, which was a relief as I had no desire to whip the motherboard out.
RMA raised with Scan, now for the Customer Service experience. No problems years ago when I had to return a motherboard, hopefully its as fast this time around.
Hope you get your MB sorted out.
